We are a group of Southside neighbors who advocate for more housing. We are residents of Ocean View, Merced Heights, and Ingleside (OMI). We’re a mix of long-time residents and newcomers, renters and homeowners, business owners and employees, families and individuals, citizens and immigrants, commuters, bus riders, cyclists and pedestrians.
We want a more affordable and sustainable Southside of San Francisco. We see friends, family, and coworkers priced out of our area. We see sprawl consume acres of wilderness and increase the number of cars on the road. And we see an alternative. We want OMI to be an affordable and inclusive community. We can make OMI a place with homes for all, and where you don’t have to have a car to get around.

Policies we support
Allow more housing in every neighborhood, especially historically affluent and exclusionary neighborhoods, removing barriers to both subsidized affordable and market rate housing
Reform structures that incentivize communities to say no to new homes, including tax systems and car centric transportation systems.
Make housing permits fast and fair, removing arbitrary barriers to both subsidized affordable and market rate housing.
Enact policies that support current residents having stable housing choices amid growth.
Increase funding for subsidized affordable housing through a wide variety of mechanisms, including direct subsidies.
